HAPPY FALL Y’ALL!!!
If you like a little adventure, it is a joy to forage for foods, plants and herbs that grow naturally. We love to forage mushrooms and plants that we can freeze, dry, make into tinctures or teas, or use fresh in our home cooked meals. Many of our local farms also have these great edibles available if you are not into doing the work yourself. Also, it is a great time to find your nearest bee keeper and get some great local raw honey!
Staying on track.
So, this is also a time for some REALLY great baked goods. I am the first one to tell you, I have never in my life been able to turn down a fresh Apple Fritter! The farmer’s markets that are great for fresh veggies and fruits, also have a TON of baked products that seem to call out your name. Close to us is a large Amish community. Our family loves going down to their markets, especially in the fall. The Amish is known for their fabulous food, and they really do not care about calories, or sugar, or white flour. They worked really hard, and need a lot of nourishment to keep up with their lifestyle.
How do we start a nutritional program, a body cleanse, during this time of year? There is all this wonderful tasting food, and don’t forget the kids Halloween candy! Our 21-day anti-inflammation challenge gives you the best of both worlds! For the 3 week challenge, you will be introduced to some of SHAPEs amazing recipes that satisfy any cravings, and you will still be able to decrease inflammation and lose weight.
